I’m thinking of changing my car next year, but I’m struggling slightly. On car sales sites, you can search by many things but car width generally isn’t one of them. One of the crucial things I need to do is fit the car in the garage, and so I’m looking for suggestions for a “thin” car.
Living on Kingsway, as any modern estate, we had a rude awakening to the modern Garage. They are just too thin for your average car, and if you actually want to get out of the car once you have parked it, then that knocks out a good percentage of the rest of the market too. That’s why I bought my Smart Roadster, it is 1.7m wide and you can drive it in, and get out of it. The only bug with it, is that it doesn’t have much for Luggage space and I am starting to travel a bit more again now, and therefore a bit more boot would be welcome.
So, here is the challenge, I need a thin car. What do you suggest? What will fit in the modern garage (and allow me to get out of the car too)?
