Amanda had booked a weekend away, through a coupons thing in the Local Paper. So it was off to Paignton we went, which is apparently part of the English Riviera.
It was a caravan holiday, so would be a new experience for us as a family and we were based at Ashvale Caravan park and were allocated a 3 bed caravan. We then found out that the money we had paid was just for the caravan, we had to pay extre to have linen, a service charge and entrance to the entertainment and pool, all in all another £50ish, not a great start! It just goes to show how these “offers” are a rip off waiting to happen.
The camp itself was ok, but given what we like on our holidays, there was no real open space for the kids to just run free. We had to use the swimming pool on the sister site, but that was ok as it was good and I had a fab time swimming with the girls and Leo, and other session with just the girls where we had the pool practically to ourselves and their confidence grew in leaps and bounds.
